Custom lengths, end preparations and surface treatments are standard ordering options, not special requests. Stainless Steel Pipe Grades & Materials

Sanghvi Overseas stocks stainless steel pipes across seven grade families, each suited to specific corrosion, temperature, and pressure conditions.

• SS 304 / 304L covers general industrial and architectural work. Handles service up to 870°C intermittently and works fine for water systems, food processing lines, and mildly corrosive environments.
• SS 316 / 316L is molybdenum added to improve pitting resistance in chloride heavy or marine conditions. This grade is used in most pharmaceutical, coastal and chemical process pipework.
• SS 310 / 310S has 25% chromium and 20% nickel, supporting continuous service up to 1100°C. Used for furnace components and high-temperature process lines where 304 or 316 would oxidise.
• SS 321 uses titanium to prevent carbide precipitation at weld joints. Suited to elevated-temperature service with repeated thermal cycling.
• SS 347 / 347H does similar work to 321 through niobium stabilisation. The H variant targets creep resistance between 550°C and 700°C in power and petrochemical lines.
• Duplex Stainless Steel has a two-phase austenitic-ferritic structure. Yield strength is roughly double that of standard austenitic grades, with better chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance than 316L.
• Super Duplex pushes chromium to 25% and adds nitrogen. Used in aggressive offshore and chemical environments where standard duplex grades are not sufficient.

Applications of Stainless Steel Pipes

Stainless Steel Pipes are used in the following industries that require high-performance and strength. 

Oil & Gas lines carry H2S, CO2, and chloride-laden fluids under pressure. Duplex and super duplex are the standard choices.

Petrochemical plants need 316L or 321. Carbide sensitisation at weld zones is a real concern at operating temperatures.

Chemical Processing runs acid lines and reagent systems through 316L or higher-alloy grades. Carbon steel corrodes too quickly.

Power Generation uses 347H and 321 in superheater tubing and steam headers that cycle between ambient and high temperatures daily.
